can anyone reccomment places in melb that sell good quality toolboxes for a reasonable price?

You pay for what you get when it comes to tools.........

kincrome, snap-on etc are the ones to look at- more expensive but in the long run they pay themselves off!

Do you get Mac tools here in Aus? had them in UK and they were great.

I havent seen them forsale anywhere, we get the snap on truck around to my work and there are quite a few other guys with vans selling Starwhillie, and other euro tools floating around also. other than that there is only Sidchrome and Kingchrome really in the shops.

Check out Repco. I bought a top box and trolley from there when I started my apprenticeship, and it's still going well. Brand is Senator. I've got a Sidchrome top box and trolley at home too, which I reckon is even better. Really nice boxes. They were both $1000 wit a bunch of tools, picked myself up a bargain.

Stay away from Snap On! It's fucking awesome, yes, but no way worth the money! You can get just as good for a lot less of the price. And when you dent it, get some dirt on it or it gets stolen you won't be screaming! I'd think about getting Snap On only if I won the $30mil powerball, but then I wouldn't be working!

I had an old Kinchrome trolley for a while too. Wasn't anything great, but it was cheap. Drawer runners wore out pretty quick.

i got a calibre tool chest from super cheap, it is great, cost me about $700 all up, but well worth the money. and i use superworks gold tools, lifetime warranty and if it breaks i get a full replacement or full money back refund. it all comes out of the stanley factory and is very similar quality to kingchrome.
