Tow bars and towing capacity

Hey guys

Just wondering if any of you have fitted a towbar to your RVRs, I will need to get one so i can tow our boat when on holiday. Its not a big boat so should be sweet.

Just out of interest, what is the towing capacity on them?

There is a tow bar on mine, came with it.

So far I've only towed a little 6x4 box trailer with a washing machine in it.
Did okay, probably was only 350kgs.

Think I read the towing capacity is just under a tonne.
Pretty much the same as a VR4...

A mate tows his boat with his so should be sweet, but not to shaw on towing capacity

Wynnum Towbars 07 3893 0411 in Brisbane should have them in stock. They did mine and no problems. When I wanted one they were the only place I could find that had them. I don't know if they are the same as a Nimbus.

1000 kg from memory but I'll have a look tomorrow and post if it's less.

Yep, 1000kg. Wynnum towbars made mine. I've towed a box trailer and small boat a few times. Cheers

when I bought my car, it came fitted with one rated to 1000kg also. I've towed a normal trailer a few times now with no issues, though with a HSG Auto, the turbo comes under load pretty quickly
