[TSV] T4G Cruise to the Palmyra Dragway (Mackay). CANCELLED

OK guys we havnt all got together and gone for a cruise.

How about we cruise down to Mackay for the test and tune drags on the 13th OCT?? Has to be 13th oct because they only have the test and tunes once a month.

It is also a ANDRA track so grip should be good?

It is about 3 1/2 - 4hours drive down there.

Perhaps we could leave aroung mid morning say 10-11, have a look around.
Meet up with Gazza from Evo-oz and a few of the guys there too (Maybe Gazza can join T4G.com too :wink: )

Have some grub/BBQ?

Head out to the Palmyra Dragway and see what Mackay has to offer :?:

Maybe we find somewhere to camp/crash the night?( Gazza?) :lol: Got a paddock?

Who has a tow bar for a car trailer (touch wood nobody breaks down)?

OK not all the info was on the site.

Rang them up.

13th oct is a FRI. They only have test and tunes on a fri, with streetmeets(bracket racing) on the sat

So fri 6.30 they open the gates and 7.30 race.

Meaning we would have to get half the fri off work to leave at lunch time to travel down and be there by 730. :cry:

On the other hand Sat 30th Sep they have a feature meet where there is a qualifying round during the day and if you dont get in they have a class for 12sec and over cars(like us)

So EOI on what date we want to go to

Fri 13th OCT ?
Sat 30th Sep ? Best bet. :wink:

General concensus please?

I'll try and grab a few of the gladstone boys to come up as well.
I think staying in Mackay would be easier as Moranbah is 2hs west from Mackay.. Looks like I'll have to repair the evo for this
