hey guys,
in respect to timing, and tuning it for a modified setup. i know it makes a decent difference. but how much difference.

i run a cyborg now with a evo 4g63t motor and basic setup.
still run the 4g61t ecu with a greddy emanage.

very happy with the current setup. but like all, that bit of extra power is always good.

the emanage give me adjustability to timing which i presume would be quite different between 4g61t and 4g63t? longer stroke and all.

this is already tuned to run well so half way there. do you guys think its worth the extra dyno time getting timing done?

hrmm well looks like ill be locking it to rwd and taking it to the dyno then, there is a workshop couple doors down that have a dyno now and will do a good deal. but its only two wheel drive.

also. say evo 3 spec cams, big 16g turbo. is there any point in adjusting the individual cam timing? have cam gears still set on standard setting. only put them on cause i had them.

Overall timing mate.

Adjusting the individual intake and exhaust camgears will allow you to adjust your power curve while possibly unlocking some hidden kw's..

But tuners will tend to advance timing until either pinging occurs or if the engine stops making power...

Cool, that was kinda my understanding, just didnt know for sure. Time to get my 272s dialed in a bit to get some midrange back :D
