Turbo for CE Auto??

Hi guys, my sister currently owns a 4g15 lancer with a few engine mods and she was thinking of turboing it for a bit more go.

Her only concern is it's an automatic and was wondering what implications/effects it would have on the transmission?

they slip if you go hard on the boost

I remeber one that was done and anything over 8psi it would slip, it was a cc though so the Ce might be stronger

my mate has a CE lancer glxi,
he was told that it is a 7 bolt and would suffer from extreme bearing wear if he was to turbo it..
not sure why but just what he got told.
hes now lking into a gsr motor.

from memory 4g15 lancers came with a few different models of gear box's

full mechanical 3 speed auto gear box

full electronic controlled 4 speed auto gear box

ce lancers all have 4 speed autos

there is 2 types though, but they are both pretty shit

The thing is she can pick up the whole turbo kit for next to nothing, but I'm worried about to much power into the transmission.

So yeah from a cost point of view I reckon it's a great deal.

I did recommend to her to get a tranny cooler, and a big one at that.

look for a TR magna at the wreckers to get a large oil cooler, and it will only cost you $15
