Hey guys,

I know some of you on here are against turbo timers, but need some help please.

I have a gsr with vr4 conversion. maintaining factory ECU with chip

Ok, had a turbo timer installed. When the key is taken out the cooling fans no longer run.
I take it its only currently connected to ignition. The dude that installed it is lost but said he'll check it out and get back to me.

What needs to be connected to get the fans running with turbo timer? Its actually an Antitheft alarm with incorporated turbo timer. Is there like a cooling fan circuit that needs to be connected to it? relay connected to this circuit which joins to the alarm/timer? Colour of wires and location of them would also help.

Thanks, just reply here or e-mail [email protected]

Ok, that is normal.. Mine did the same thing.. Its because there are 2 ignition feeds from the ignition switch. One which your timer is connected to, to keep the car running once switched off and the other which feeds auxillary type stuff like your thermo fan, a/c etc.

The best thing to do is change the way in which you fan works.ie. change from ignition fed to battery fed. You do this by changing the supply wire on the thermo fan relay. This way the fan will continue to work until the thermo switch in your radiator senses the engine is cool enough and turns off the thermo fan.
