4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Agreed! I feel for you GVR4.. harsh :(

Well my exhaust manifold has decided to work its way lose, so i'm biting the bullet and pulling the turbo out, when I re torque the head, and fitting a set of stainless exhaust manifold studs and new Evo gaskets so I can forget about it.

Bloody cars!

Told you I could hear your manifold leaking that night!

the description bunch of incompetent fools is a correct judge of them, they didn't check the timing belt tensioner when they changed the belt 3 months ago, and now they tensioner is rooted they aren't taking resposibilty for it, i have sent a letter to the office of fair trading, and will be speaking to racq tomorrow, and after that i will be seeking legal advice, i refuse to pay $2500 twice in 3 months for the same work to be done

well, how big ARE they?

I haven't a clue, maybe the butterfly mechanism is better or something. As far as I knew, XF TB's were 60mm too.

XB's are 70mm.. VR4 is 60mm.. I dont believe in upgrading the intake manifold/throttle body until you max them out. You can easily make around 300kw at the wheels with a 60mm throttle body.

BTW: that is one SEXY intake manifold.. who made it and how much are they?

Jon

ditto on the inlet manifold!!

very very nice indeed!!!!

how much was it also???

XF is bigger, also a reason for upgrading = idle control

Hope that clutch last well, after all, when you change it your engine is going to be seriously out of balance.
Why do balancing places do that?

That manifold looks very expensive.

It was expensive.. All I'll say is it was about $150 more than what a well known place in sydney quoted me, which was half the quality of this one.
Main reason for using the XF TB is that when told i could use any TB I went out and got the largest, most common upgraded for 4cyl cars and cheaper TB from the wreckers.

It should be boosting again by next weekend! :D
