Is it just me or is it alot cheaper to shop for parts in the US???

There are 4 cars with the 4G63 in the US so parts and demand are there to drive down the price

It's not always true.

If you want JDM stuff, it's at least 200x cheaper to buy it here.

Stuff like ARC bits, HKS bits, so on is far cheaper to buy through a select group of suppliers here in Australia that it is to buy from the USA.

For instance, it's possible to get a set of genuine HKS 272/272 for $600 AUD landed and shipped to your door through one of those suppliers.

But in general, it's heaps cheaper ex usa. But you have to support local business where appropriate too you know.

it seems to be a lot cheaper to buy engine parts from the USA. they have a much wider range aswell.
