Everybody is entitled to their opinion - but it's how some of them stated that opinion that pissed me off. You don't post a pic of somebody's car and simply write "I'll kick it off...", that's just arrogant.

If it had of been an honest opinion stated in a fair and reasonable manner - then fine, I would have just ignored it and put it down to those cock-heads and their elitist attitudes.

I'm really not too fussed what people think of my car. I have had mixed opinions on the body styling/paint. At the end of the day I've done it to my specifications, how I want it

Before you think of saying "oh shit look at that offset how gay", you should know afew things:
1. i want to do things properly: IE convert to 5stud and get correct offset rims (ie not 20'' blingtastic chromies).
2. the shit above is expensive. have you even looked at how much 5stud convo costs for a cc? i have, and have done it
3. im a uni student. also im not a daddy's boy, ie i buy all my shit myself and work hard at the servo for it . i also do EVERYTHING on the car myself. diy ftw.
4. this is aproject car lol! I wish i could do everything at once.

I still think you should have done it to a GSR at least. I can see where they are coming from r.e putting kits on non turbo slushboxes that are trying to be something they are not. I dont agree with the way they went about flaming you though- that was pretty shit, from a shit bunch of WANKERS.

I beleive he did it to a GLXi for the reason that if it did turn out crap he didnt ruin a perfectly good GSR! He can still turbo and even 4wd the car when the time (& $$$'s) come.

But it did turn out crap? In my opinion anyway. Im all for DIY and I appreciate the hard work that must have gone into it, but it should have won an award at the autosalon this year.

look, ill tell you what i think about this whole ordeal:

In my opinion, CB's are one of the most hideous cars ever to come out of the mitsu production line, and i dont for the love of god understand why you are doing that thing up and spending cash on it instead of the nice and clean CC GSR YOU had a while back.
But i'll never tell you that its a gay car, or that you are wasting a good engine on an ugly POS; infact i respect what you're doing because you're doing something different, something unique. and most importantly something that YOU want to do.

My situation is no different . I think it came out tops! 2nd time around I rekn whatever I make will be even better!

at the end of the day we're all mitsu enthusiasts, and thats good enough for me.

PS: when i bought my car, stock gsr's were going for 15k+. I didnt want to do something on a car that I'll never be able to sell for sensible money again. Hence did it to a GLxi its a pos from the begining lol.

Personally, I don't like the car at all; it's not my style, and quite frankly, I don't see the point. But who gives a shit? I don't own the car, I don't have to drive the car, it doesn't affect me personally whatsoever. Going by the replies to this thread, I'm not the only one that feels that way, and I reckon it's a testament to the maturity of the community on here that noone has felt the need to bag him out in his build thread - live and let live.
