Any one got any hook ups, I need to get my sister a driving test before the new laws come in. Please anybody?

ide say your best bet would be to book it at a vic roads out of central melbourne. they tend to not be too packed. thats how all my brothers mates have pulled it off

yeh they are but they're bringing out a new red P and green P system which i believe comes with a passenger restriction at some point and whole bunch of other stupid rules

That is correct.. I wonder if this will be a "If you are already on p's no affect" thingo..

New Probationary Licence Requirements
The new probationary licence requirements will apply to all probationary licence holders who obtain their licence on or after 1 July 2008. These include a two stage/four year probationary licence system:

P1 (red plate) for one year; and
P2 (green plate) for three years.

A number of new probationary licence restrictions will also be introduced, with extra restrictions for P1 licence holders.

You can find more information on the GLS website at: www.gls.arrivealive.vic.gov.au

AND

If you obtained your probationary licence before 1 July 2008, you will have to change your P plate from red to green.

A green P plate driver has fewer restrictions such as how many passengers they can carry.

Good luck getting a placement. My sister booked 3 months ago and could only get in at funkytown just days before July. Spose you could try ringing everyday and hoping for a cancellation.

How far out does vic roads have driving schools where you can do a drinving test? T4G road trip? lol

In adelaide you can get a p's test at the flick of your fingers, i got mine in 2 weekday lessons and test on the sunday.. Victoria sounds like a nightmare in the car world.

oooh 4 years....does this mean your on your Ps till your 22 now?!

no i think green for 1 year and red for 2 similar to nsw i believe with the speed limit as well

try the rural vicroads alex, like werribee, bendigo?

my cousin did hers in werribee, apparently they asked her to do a 3 point turn on a road where you could easily do a u turn lol.

try Warnambol and Sheparton i'm sure there Vic Roads are really really pcked

I found out that apprently "warrigul" is the place to go.
bit of a drive away but apparently its easy as to get a booking there...and aparently the test itself is heaps easier
ie. hardly any traffic and easier roads
