Roger, may I ask why you wear those bandanas? :?

Anyway you seem like a nice enough bloke [you cop a lot of flack but], good luck with the Cordia, and I'm glad it's not giving you grief anymore; do you think your expectations are a tad unrealistic but mate?
The only reason why i wear those bandanas is because that is what i did when i did my first video, its very hard and nervous recking to do, i sort of had the habit of covering myslef just to be secure when i stuff up when i talk, also it adds abit of anonynomosity to it too. when people look at my vids it looks like its so easy to do and all, piece of cake but it isnt.

Its alot harder cos its unscripted and rehearsed and you want to say things very good first time. Plus its funny how i have the bandanas stiff on, its just a type of icon or a feature about Rogercordia.

1/4 mile time wise > when i was on the cordiapower forum people knew how i started off, i was basically a 17 second person with my white cordia, than i went down to 15.5's allday everday, than as i attempted and made this type of intercooler conversion I TOLD EVERYONE that i will be doing easy 14 seconds with this setup, everyone of them all 1400 members INSISTED that i was talking false hopes and crap, well i rocked all of them, i ended up doing 14.8's than i went down to 14.3's and lastly 14.1's with teh same setup as nearly everyone of them, most of them had specification cordias just like my white cordia, Allot of them refused to belive hoe fast teh car went.

At the end i done a 1/4 mile time none of them belived that was ever managable, also i have mentione over a million times that my car will go allot better, still everyone refused.

As a summary >

13.733 seconds ( almost 13.6 seconds ) with no traction inj 1st or second gear, with 215 tyres deflated to 5 psi.

With my currant engine as it is, it will be able to do easy low 13 second 1/4's, and that is withy no nitrous or methanol injection.

13.7
13.3

Now fluid power come in, i have

55hp
65hp
75hp Nitrous jets to play with

I said it b4 and i will say it again, I know that my car will be doing 12 second 1/4's im pretty certain it will be under 12.5's when i use my 235's.

I propose a deal>

Deal >If i manage under 12.5 1/4 mile time or even quicker than 12.99, I will require a sincere appology from those members that have showed no faith in my car and has said bad things about it.

PS 1 > whats a daft?

PS 2 > I think GSR7OY will crucify my when he watches that vid.

I appreciate your support and understanding slinkovic. Its not everyone its only a bunch of disbelievers and haters. Most are ok, its only a bunch taht spoils it.

is it safe to deflate your tyres all the way to 5psi????

i wouldn't have thought it is!

EDIT > Can some one in this forum tell me which cordia owner from the cordiapower forum or who ever owns a cordia that has the balls to sit infront of a computer and talk about ther cordias BESIDES ME.

I have mentioned to many people to EXPRESS their car and give it a real name for the world in a computer for the world to see, i bet im the only cordia owner in Austarlia that has done this only.

I do things with my car that most cordia owners would never do, and this is one of them.

Out of the odd 1500 cordiapower members, who came with me to Wakefield park for a trackday event, to put ther cordia on teh circuit, NO ONE, i wasnt even part of the forum at that time. I have Represented the cordia name at the trackday and it felt damn good.

THere are heaps of Galant vr4's, heaps of evos, lancers, but very rarely cordias.

When ever i go to dyno days, who puts ther cordia on the dyno at every consecuative dyno day, me, i put my car on teh dyno combining my red and white machines like 7 times already.

You're quite ambitious, but that's not generally a bad thing... I really don't know why people are so hostile to you, maybe you've done some overly-stupid things in the past I'm not aware of... I thought the community would be a lot more supportive of your goals, anyone care to fill me in? Anyway, when do you think you'll be going for these 12s?

There is nothing else that you dont know about already of me and my cordias.

Ill express one other thing>

If i just completed a vr4 conversion in my cordia or spent mega bucks in my single cam and i went to the drags and i just got ass cained by a Cordia with a BOV< ZORST AND INTERCCOLER

I would be pissed aswell and i would kinda be mad at myself too and also at that person, so you see there is just a few percentage of people that hate me cos they hate it when they hear me accomplish things they couldnt ever manage.

There is a buch of cordiapower people thatn have same specs as my cars, and i belive they do indeed get pissed about hearing me beating skylines and vr4's with my car and the specs it has, compared to them with same mods and if not better but cant even beat skylins.

Also ther is one other thing >

They hate me cos i never showed them my intercooler conversion, they all wanted to see it, but cos they have bagged me out, i never showed them.

13 seconds
14 seconds

Is probably a walk in a park for most vr4's galant's or evo 4wd drive cars, But for a cordia fwd its a completly diffrent story, its a whole diffrent level.

As soon as im happy about my red cordia's engine operation i will than race it, i will say that i wont be racing staright away with nitrous and methanol, my plan is to race it untill im satisfyed that the car cant go any quicker, than ill be running nos to give it the extra kick in aceleration.

Well I can symphathise with the kind of crap you have to put up with when you're literally building your own car, Roger; Ive had mine for about 3 years and it's only JUST broken the 300kW mark at all 4's with any kind of reliability for circuit driving. That includes keeping the rest of the systems[cooling, lubrication] balanced. Making the car function as a whole was a bitch and a half in itself, especially with needing to make it stop without going to an AP system.

I remember when I first built the turbo system, took it out to the test day and the wastegate and the pipe fell off[I went with a design similar to JUN's adapter assy for Rexes, and the weld snapped. Big lesson in thermodynamics and load-bearing structures right there] Needess to say, the problem was rectified only for several others to occur, sometimes simultaneously. I can appreciate the kind of pain involved when you set your goals high, and then have to go back to the drawing board every time to keep moving forwards.

Respect where its due, and it's good that you're out there doing what you believe in. Keep it up.

But dude for God's sake get rid of that bandana when you're doing your videos, you look like a bloody AL QUAIDA SUSPECT. I'd personally take you a lot more seriously if you showed your face. And have some bloody videos of yoursef driving the car and getting results. Since you've said you've done the work, then show us how it goes.

Far out 300kws, thats Job well done, i guess it has payed off with what you have done to your car.

As soon as i get a better digital video camera i will no doubt record my drag runs at the wsid, that is my goal, its just i couldnt attempt it just yet due to issue i have ben facing with my engine and stuff.

I had to get as much traction as possioble with the tyers i had at teh time, I remember deflating my > 205/46/17 inch rims to 5 psi, and basically the tyres were literally driven flat down teh 1/4 just so i can get the traction whuch i minimally recieved, evebn with my 215's i could only get so much traction.

But now i got 235's for drag racing use, i cant wait to race, cos last time i ddi race i managed 14.4 seconds with only 3 cylinders 2/3'd down the track.

Also i would like to mention that i'm actually educating the cordia community aswell, how?, well look at my ecu error check video, also my methanol injection videos, My videos contain >

Explanations to what is happening
What im doing
How things work

I explain, show, talk, describe and othetr stuff, im vey certain im informing peiople out ther things that they never knew before or is unsure of things.

I agree 100% dude...

Roger, put some due credit to your hard work and show us some videos of you tearing it up in your beast, you'll turn some haters into accepters and some doubters into believers

As for the put downs and insults... don't take it to heart, it's very easy to hurl them carelessly when you don't know the person, especially over such a desensitized communicational medium like a forum. Maybe if they aknowledged there is a human behind the KINGCORDIA facade...

Quote from another forum in response to my newly made mitsubishi cordia turbo ecu check >

well done...thats heaps handy... i didnt understand the write ups, so the vid helped heaps
_________________

Ive seen lots of write ups myself and is very confusing wjen some one would read from book or paper or from the internet, doing such a thing from these resources is kinda challenging, but i'm very confident that i did provide that little video for other cordia owners benefit.

i showed them how easy it is to do. Ill be doing more self help video's about cordias.

Its kinda boring learning how to do things from texbooks, for example how to take a engine out or a cylinder head, you remember the steps, and later the installation is said to be in reverse.

in future if i have to a head gasket job or whatever ill be covering it with footage to help those that would like to have tips or just for PURE ENTERTAINMENT.

I cant wait to show video footage of my car going down the 1/4, it has been my sole purpose from the start, drag strip incar footage would show and tell so much, very soon it will be done, very soon.

Ill ofcourse let the world know when it happens. Ive never seen incar footage of a cordia going down the 1/4, well ill be quite happy and proud to be the first doing it.

"Due credit" Is why everyone rips on roger.

He has tickets on himself and he is a loser.

He needs to go about his business without gloating.

Maybe instead of making stupid videos of error code checking write a post with a few well chosen photos.

Basically get over yourself.

Oh and stop with the shit excuses and the almosts.

Talk facts and only facts no one wants to hear what you think it would have gotten etc.

I'm looking forward to it personally, and wish you the best of luck. Don't worry even if you don't reach your goal the first time, post the video anyway because if anything it will get the point across that its not so easy. It's all part of the process. But make sure you explain what you learned on the run for the benifit of everyone else. Fast cars aren't built overnight bro, even the smallest part of a project can turn into a hurdle that seems impossible to pass.

Just stick with it and keep going!

Bob, I know how it feels to get an "almost" moment, when the car is "nearly" there. I had my bloody engine grenade thanks to a flaw in the build, and it cost me a second rebuild[was a PITA to find pistons that allowed me to keep the donk at under or precisely 2000cc's disp.] Thing is, Roger's set some bloody high goals for himself for the platform he has. And reaching those goals along the modification path he has chosen won't be easy.

We can only withhold judgement and wait for the result, pretty much all that can be done at this stage.

Set high goals thats fine.

Lots of the guys on this forum have set their goals to fasest 1.8 record and fastest VR4.

Thats fine.

They don't however brag about their times and talk about how really it was 5 seconds faster if you take into account the fact i wasn't running pure alcohol and i left the seat covers on.

Im still a bit scared LoL

But i say good luck with everything, and may the force be with u :D

Id have to say also credit where credits due.

But remember Roger nobody likes it when people( and its happened before) keep going on and on and on about things.

Just tell us once in one section "yeah i went 12.99 last night at blah" then be done with it.

People will also take you more seriously when you put a face to the man

None of these bandanas shit.

Dave gsr70y is up here in Townsville at the moment and he reckons hes met you somewhere before.

Hes made some tasty vids but doesnt sprout off all the time.

On another note I/we Admin/Mods want to see EVERYBODY back off roger with all the bagging as it just doesnt look good on this forum and we should be helping each other not hateful bagging.

That said we will now be coming down hard on people for it, not just attacks on roger but anyone on anyone.

We dont want to be locking and editing threads all the time because a few people are not mature enough to know when to not open their mouths.

Appart from that try to have some fun and praise each other. :D

Peace out.
