Gear has finally arrived from Ryan @ Just JDM, (GREAT SERVICE), :D Ralliart ECU, Ralliart Panel Filter & Blitz IColour, hoping this will compliment the HKS 3" Cat Back.
Fittd the Filter & ECU to the car this weekend, the EBC I will have fitted next week, (not mechanically inclinded).
The Panel Filter went on Friday night, without the ECU, drove car home & noticed very minor difference, seemed to spool slightly earlier & slightly quicker, no great difference.
Saturday afternoon, the moment of truth, fit the Ralliart ECU, 3 hours later, (thats why I'm a Business Manager not a Mechanic), all done, bonus, found annoying rattle in dash, screw left out when Intellitrac Alarm was fitted, now fixed, there's a lot behind an EVO dash. 8)
Time for test drive, THIS IS A DIFFERENT CAR!! absolutely mind blowing, engine is still punching @ 220K/Hr, cannot believe the difference, & it's only done 100 Klm since fitting, I am told it will get better. :eek: :eek:
Driveability has improved, idle is same as standart, apart from now sits @ 2000RPM when first started instead of 1000RPM, soon drops back to 800RPM.
Boost starts about 2800RPM & doesn't it spool quick, saw 8000RPM in second, not paying attention, wanker in Falcon got his expectations mixed up with his ambitions. :twisted:
Mid range power is in adifferent world from standard, & top end, just wants to keep pulling.
Did notice fuel economy has gone to hell, 300 Klm out of tank, but expect this to improve in time as ECU learns.
Mightily impressed with these cars, they only get better. :lol: :lol: :D :D

When are you planning on going to the drags to run the beast?

Us TSV T4G guys should crash the V8's versus WRX night at the drag strip on the 8th of April :wink: :lol:
 
Get a 3" dump and front pipe made up, a cat back is only for sound!

You'll notice one hell of an improvement on your top end, I can gaurantee it!

Yep, just what i was thinking when i heard about it last week.
What a load of crap thinking that the main war is not WRX VS V8.
It should be 4's VS V8, not just 1 type of budjet built family 4 door that you have to spend BIG $$$$ (I mean BIG $$$$ to get them into low 12 & Thats if the drive train hold up :lol:

So yeah lets show the public that there is more than 1 4cyl 4WD car that can stick it up the 8's :twisted:
The amb temps should be getting a bit cooler then too

But i would be fitting that dump asap mate, cause that (Dump) part is the most effective part of the exhaust cause that is where the air is hottest & needs a BIG Pipe for all the exhaust gas to flow out as that is what the turbine "See's" 1st.
Get that done & you'll notice a bigger differance than when you had your cat-back fitted. :wink:

I agree, more well tuned 4 cyl's should show up to this event to show up the WRX's.
