What is there to keep us updated with? Alex updates his threads frequently (he used to post on SAU a lot) - we can just check the thread..

Yeh, I got over SAU. I got my Stagea to a level where I just said, thats enough and I wasn't learning anything new about them from the forums. I guess thats what I like to do with cars, learn new stuff all the time and thats why I like to attempt to do crazy shit.

As far updates on my build, you can follow my myspace which will be a build diary of my S13. The myspace is http://www.myspace.com/shiftyunicorn

I have since found that that bellhousing there is actually for the early model 4G63 that has the gearbox mounted on the wrong side for my application and also the starter motor too.

I have also somewhat rethought the idea of an R154 after speaking to a few people who drive them all the time saying that at high speed/revs it can be notchy to get into gears. Ideally, this is not the best for me.

I am going to probably just get something made locally, something just out of sheet metal or use an adapter plate. I just cant afford to let someone in the US develop something that I want now.

All i need to do now is get a flywheel/clutch and see how it could fit into other boxes such as an RB25 or something, something that I will bolt up with an adapter plate.

On another note I bought my motor today :) Time to start buying some mods as well.

i would stay away from rb25 boxes also,
yes they are fairly strong but will break fairly eaisly with too much abuse,
and far out they are dear even second hand.

i thought there was a wide block adaptor available already for evo 4+
engines?

also for late evo engines i think they run the same belhousing as
a sj/wa 2.4 L300/L400 vans, you might be able to use a box from
one of them, they also they run 7 bolt crank so you could use the van
flywheel,starter motor and clutch too,

hope this helps
