VR4 WONT START!

hey guys i have a jspec 1990 galant vr4 and the other day i jumped into her and cranked her over but wouldnt start. i was like WTF??? battery is good starter is good. i had a feeling it was flooding itself but cut a long story short she wont kick over she wants to but doesnt black smoke comes out the exhaust when im cranking it and then when i turn of the ignition i hear this continuos ticking noise from the throttle body where the butterfly is anyone know what this is????? i need help please

mods are 2.5 inch catback filter and atmo bov

Have you got fuel in the car?

When was the last time you drove it before you tried to start it?

Check the small things first, like the battery terminals, spark plugs etc.

Also, pull yout timing belt cover off, to make sure its still intact......

check your plugs mate
could have fouled them...

if thats good
check for spark

if u have spark, check for fuel

if u have fuel, check your timing (see if everything is TDC)
play with the CAS also

if everything was ok B 4 and then it just started it go thru the basics first.

buy Before you do check your hoses ie: intercooler and intake AFM pipes,

if it doesn't register any air passing thru it it wont fire properly,

just a question (incase you haven't fixed it yet?

does it kick over at all or is it just winding over?

wont start

it doesnt kick over at all just cranks and cranks, there is fuel in the car and checked for leaks but no luck had a efi guy come out and he found that the injectors werent getting and power at all :S very confused i think its the ecu

Have you checked the MPI fuse?
It's one of the three fuses in the block that is attached to the positive terminal of my battery.
If your lucky this is it

no i checked every god damn fuse but no luck ....... does anyone have pictures of fuse box covers for jspec vr4s???? mines in jap and i dunno wich fuse is what....

yeh im getting spark and fuel everything is ok i just pulled out the ecu and looks like a cap is leaking so any ideas on ecu choice??? can i swap to evo or sumfin i need some ideas thanks
