Hey just wondering if anyone has a rough idea what a bare 4g93t engine would weigh?

I am trying to organise e-go courier to pick up engine block (no pistons, rods or crank) and head (with cams, gears, valves and springs) but they wont pick it up if its over 70kgs unless a forklift is there, which there isn't.

So if there is any chance of it being more than 70kgs, i will have to go get it myself.

thanks
mat

The block alone is more than 70kgs if say, we have safes at work which are 60 and I can manage them alone but my bare 93t block I could hardly lift by myself. Some one else may know for sure but I'm fairly certain it'd be over 70kg

A bare 63 block weighs in at 38.5kgs i can see a bare 93 being more than that.

I think a pinned post for various parts weights would be a good idea

38.5kg no way, maybe I think it's heavier because it's just hard to pick up because it's awkwardly shaped with sharp bits and all that??

38.5kg confirmed i put it on scales , its bare 63 block with only main caps and bolts attached.

I pick it up from a main cap and bore piece of piss

i can lift a 4g93 with crank/pistons myself you add the head it add quite abit the heads weigh 10-11kg minimum on their own

I have a 4G93T block here you can have for free if you come pick it up, it has no internals, I think I also have a stock 4G93T crank too you can have

Id agree crocket. I can lift a bare 64 block to the engine stand ok. And if it was 60kg I wouldnt even try.
shit..Im old and I can lift the 93 short motor easy.

I think these guys over there might be a bit girly Jack....

I got one I can weigh over the weekend if you want?
thanks evo-gsr, im guessing it will weigh close to the 63 engine, so its probably not necessary

yeah ill take what you got, i was originally going to go to sydney and pick up engine then try catch up with you on the way back to check clutch and ecu, so maybe i might do that if i can organise it
