welded centre do I need a VCE

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

you take out your centre diff, then bung 2 additional spider gears in it.

of course a little machining helps. but nothing you wouldnt figure out by looking at it appart.

Tell me about it! I have to buy my evo 3 1st gear and input shaft from Jacks, it's a little more expensive but their customer service is great and they will ship over here!

I haven't George, from pricing things through Mitsubishi before I fully expect them to be worth an arm and a leg over here!
I would love to be wrong though! I also don't have the Mitsi part numbers for them either?
Anyone out there have the parts numbers???

if you ring a good dealer(read ralliart with some one who knows what is going on)
woth your vin you should be right

if you dont get any sense out of them ring steve bell at ralliart direct

All is good. I have friends in the US who live in Philly who would gladly accept any US postage to their house for me, then mail to me here

Problem is that I don't have an Evo to start with George. I'm putting the Evo gear into my VR4 box....

I don't have the new ASA caps Craig.
I think I have found both numbers! Can someone confirm these that has ASA please?
Input shaft - MD747888
Evo III 1st gear MD743979

Got a price from Mitsubishi this morning.
Input shaft $351
1st gear $224
US prices are...
Input shaft $182us
1st gear $149us
Shipping $37us
Even with the exchange rate I save a bit over $150 by sending my money over there.
I'm going to download ASA and check the part numbers then get Trav to get me a price before I order it from the US. Pity if I have to because both parts are in stock in Sydney!

hey guys, the other alternative is to get a cp50 gearbox i think it s called.i got one for the eterna, its a selectable awd/fwd box.theres a shaft that has a locking bracket on the side of the box.it locks the centre diff for fwd mode and you get a transfer case that has asimiler thing for freewheel mode.but leave a factory transfer on ant you get direct lock on the centre diff.cant guarantee how strong though.if you wasnt an outside pic i can send one
