welders in melbourne?

can anyone recommend somewhere that can do aluminium welding reasonably cheap? i need cooler inlet/outlet and piping done.

You prepared to drive to Kyneton? I know a top bloke who is honest and does really good aluminium tig welding for a fair price.

Let me know if you're prepared to do the drive (about an hour out of Melb) and I'll speak to him, otherwise we could possibly arrange for me to take the stuff to him when I next visit (my girlfriend is best friends with his girlfriend so we're up there on a pretty regular basis).

I can send you some pics of some of the aluminium work he's done for my car if you're interested in seeing some of the stuff he can do.

Sean Mullins Racing, they are off canterbury road near the big bunnings.. He has done my previous cooler piping and he is a gun. he also builds drag cars and did some cages in the V8 super cars.

i live 5min from bunnings so it'd probably be the go. how much did it cost to weld up the piping? i'm still deciding whether to set up the mig to weld aluminium or just send it away.

Agreed with Dennis.
Sean Mullins is good as got a nipple welded onto my aluminium intercooler piping.

Well.. i paid some 5+ years ago from him $650 , he supplied all stainless 2.5" piping, made brackets for my cooler, made all pipes, supplied hoses and bolt clamps. and it was a mint job.

the only other person i would recommend is Darren of Trikfab, he is dandenong way and he is a gun welder aswell. Only two places i would trust to weld alloy.
