What Brakes are these ?

Hi,
I took these calipers of my 95 GSR , Odd thing is after I stripped the paint back I found mods to the mounting points.
Also noted the disc were redrilled from 5 hole to 4 hole. and are 276mm diameter.
Are they evo 4 calipers?? or something else.

If they're bolted to GSR hubs then they'll be Evo I-III. Evo IV calipers had a wider 158mm bolt spacing. Someone probably just redrilled some Magna discs as they may have been easier to source/cheaper.

Looks like the calipers have had the mounting points changed as the OP posted...So don't know why you would have to do that if they were E3??

they look like modified wrx (bugeye) brakes... the weld marks are in about the same location where the holes are located for the wrx

na, not wrx. i got my99 wrx calipers and they 4spots but wide spaced holes on 300ish discs,

id say evo4 but it would be a guess... i wonder how legal that mod is??

They wouldnt even notice, it's a fairly neat job on the side you see...
I would give them a go.

On eBay USA is a big brake kit for talon. The calipers are very similar

its massivly illegal to have any heat modified steering or braking components.
i mean the 2 pot fronts like on gc8 and bugeye

If you get stuck i've got a set of OEM Evo 3 calipers and slotted rotors you can borrow

Thanks for the help guys.
Btw if front calipers have changed then Master cyl should also be changed ? yes/no.
If I was to go evo 3 brakes then is the MC different than GSR?
EVO3 calipers are tempting guys, will keep them in mind.
Does anyone have GSR Calipers/discs?
