What is it?? (thermostat housing sensor) but what?

What is the sensor that is screwed into the thermostat housing on the backside that has a spade terminal?

DSMs have one in the front but nothing in the back of the housing. This sensor has a 14mm hex head on it. Where does this go and what does it do? Can it be plugged up?

I never used mine but you can plug it up or if you fit gauges use that space

Yeah and the main plug on top is aircon or some air afilliated sensor.

I'd say thats the sensor that controls the fans in an emergency temperature situation.
It turns both fans on high at a pre set temp, I have mine wired up to a switch in cabin
You probably won't need it, go ahead and plug it.
