What ratio is first gear on an evo 3?
The teeth count on both the gears on the input and intermediate shaft would be even better so i can verify the ratio.
Also what about the ratios of 3rd and 4th gear?
Thanks.

You should have just looked on Jacks site Gerard
All the info is there mate Clicky

Don't forget that the Evo3 centre diff has a different angle on the teeth so you will need one of those as well if you go that way.
You'll also need both input and intermediate shafts as well.

I been looking at their stuff but didn't see that page. Cheers, i was looking at parts listings

1st: 2.750
2nd: 1.684
3rd: 1.160
4th: 0.862
5th: 0.617
Apart from first, those ratios are the same as i have in the 3.9 box i was running with a 3.5 crown and pinion before destroying first. First was taller again than evo3.
There is so much conflicting information out there about the VR4 RS box's which according to some lists this is mean to be. other comprehensive looking lists don't have it either.

Ratios are
1st: 2.571
2nd: 1.600
3rd: 1.160
4th 0.862
5th 0.618

I also noticed that a C50PH originally out of my 87' j-spec has a different first gear to an 92' Aus spec W5M33 box. All other gears are the same ratio. Both are 3.545.
C50PH first gear: 2.846
W5M332NQZK first gear: 2.917
Dsm 1g awd is the lowest at 3.083

All these ratios Ive counted the teeth myself so not off the net.
