What turbo? 240 Kw at the wheels

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I still run the evo 3 mani and dump. No porting of anything. Factory head, ports, manifolds, intercooler piping..

Volume of the Fp mani is better - top end may be improved also.. For bigger turbo's pushing more air (and hence more exhaust gas) I can see the need - but you want to match your overall setup (balance).

I also prefer airspeed over volume (to a point)
It's why I still run the factory intercooler piping.. airspeed.

The evo 3 has the smaller intake / manifold ports - to increase airspeed. "high velocity port" I think they called it - in rough translation. Why offset the balance??

I'm sure with tuning I can have the low down 'lag' dialed out and make huge gains in off & low boost response - it's not bad now, it's just not, well.. tuned... I could dial in more base timing but I want to see how this thing goes with a gutfull of positive manifold presure first.

Why is it not tuned? Try finding someone in Perth who is actually any good and wants to use my management of choice (which may or may not have been a good one!).

Hi mate.....if you want to compare the standard manifold with the FP item i have both in my shed..

I think the main difference would be flow into the turbo is going to be better due to the shape.
