What wideband are you using and where did you mount it?

Pretty self explanatory guys, just wondering what wideband you guys are using and where abouts did you mount it on the exhaust?

NGK AFX about 1.2m from the dump pipe. Just before the cat converter.

I didnt know you could use the stock location? something about the heat damaging the sensor?

AEM 6 in 1 just before cat. Using 5v output for evoscan logging.

lol...dunno who told you that. Why would the factory o2 sensor be there and not be damaged by heat?

If you use a Bosch wideband heated sensor in the dump, it may not like it. I have read somewhere that the narrowband sensors are closer to the heat because they don't have the active heater and need that extra heat to work. The widebands like it a bit further from the toaster.

Turbo installations require the sensor to be positioned even further from
the exhaust valve. Initially try 1 metre distance from the
turbo outlet.

Don’t be fooled by manufacturers placing narrowband sensors right after the turbo
outlet – wideband sensor will overheat under boost

I have innovate in dump pipe. With metal heat diffuser. Dunno if the diffuser will help it any but read it somewhere.

AEM digital WB, I've got mine before the cat and about 12" after the external wastegate pipe merges, so about 36" or so post turbo which puts it in line with the firewall.

I could mount it vertical in that spot and wiring is ultra easy, straight through where the shifter cable runs

Well like I said...I have mine in the dump pipe in factory location....been there for quite a while. And guess what?
Its still working.

This!!! Except i had a plate on the firewall that was easy to remove, drill appropriate hole and run it that way, simples.

I went through the passenger side behind the fender. I think its the gsr abs stuff goes through there. Wires end up behind the ecu. No holes in a proton but mine has one now.

mines about 40cm from the back of the turbo in the front pipe, exhaust temp is closer to the turbo

temps will also depend what fuel you run

Im running the AEM Digital Wideband UEGO Controller. Part# AEM 30-4100. No problems whatsoever. It's easy to install and has been working fine.
I mounted the Bosche sensor before the cat converter. Approx location is mounted vertically on top of the exhaust pipe, roughly under the intake manifold area.
You dont want the sensor in the dump pipe off the back of the turbo or you'll be overcooking and damaging the sensor, especially if you're running big boost.

Ive cooked 3 sensors already.

Follow the instructions and also make a heatsink.

Bad sensors = incorrect readings or no readings. Calibrations will not fix it. Could result in a misleading tune/afr.
