its like the WRX and STI, the STI is better than WRX (but still shit). its the same with the new lancers the ralliart lancer is like the WRX, and the evo like the STI.

what they are trying to do is put something on the road at a similar price to the WRX so they can boost sales in that category. whilst still having the EVO to go against the top of line STI.

its a sales pitch which is going to make them alot more money at the end of the day.

how many people would like an evo but can't afford it so they go and get a WRX which is cheaper?, this is mitsubishis answer to it.

You're missing the point. I don't think anyone is disagreeing with the concept but...
Ralliart upgrades are specifically designed and tested with high performance in mind;
Ralliart is the pinnacle of Mitsubishi...

i'm not missing the point at all, i think you have me confused with someone who drives a lancer...

the ralliart lancer is an UPGRADE on the standard lancer and has nothing to do with the EVO which is the pinnacle of mitsubishi, and like the EVO 9 there will be a Ralliart EVO, so what difference does it make,

That posted CH ralliart is just a CH VRX with the 2.4 MIVEC re-badged as the "ralliart"

At the end of the day Mitsubishi is a company to make money. So they will do whatever they are advised to do to make the big money. I think them releasing a Ralliart lancer draws away from the pinnacle EVO a bit, but at the end of the day having a direct competitor with the WRX will make them lots of money.....So why wouldn't they do it?

From what I've been told the Ralliart Lancer will be AWD, same engine (detuned), not as nice interior, and basically a pov aesthetics pack (shitter rims, different kit, detuned suspension)

I already liked the new lancer vrx, I reckon it looks mint, and I presumed it would look like that but better, and fit nicely under the evo and above the vrx.

The hatch looks cool, but I really liked the lancer vrx look, plus I like a boot.
