Closest stormwater drain

Im glad that was a joke.....

Umm any garage SHOULD be happy to dump it for you(maybe a small fee) but im sure that the local tip/dump/refuse station has an oil/battery/coolant dumping section.....

I stockpile mine under the house until I have to take a load of rubbish to the tip, then drop it off at the designated area there.

Not cool - those of you who are dumping it in the ground in your backyard (or someone elses) ...

Take it to the tip. I know theres a specific oil recycler or dumper that you can take it to in Heidleberg ( or somewhere near there).

I have a few 20L drums in the garage which I take to the tip or my mechanics when they're full.

There are some people out there that are re-using sump and veggie oil to run in their diesil cars..

buy one of those shed heaters and mix the oil with a bit of kero or diesel and burn it............those heaters are great. they get so hot you cant stand closer than five feet.

I hope you guys dont tip in into storm water drains<_< as most go to a pond then out to the river. or strait out to a river.
Even if it doesnt get into the river it seeps into the ground water an stuffs up our aquifers.
Each city differs but most get a good chunk of our drinking water from underground aquifers. especially over here in perth.

Same as tipping into the soil, seeps into our ground water. Especially in australia, our water is gold.

or if some of you know what to doo...... you can make it into Diesel......

but theres a Dumping place in the west side near deerpark, made for old oil....

now you tell me..

I'm lucky enough to be able to give it to a mate whom is a diesel mechanic, from there it takes the correct method of disposal...

Ive found pouring it into the areas of your yard where you dont want grass (or anything else for that matter) to grow, works a treat....no more mowing up the side of the house

Otherwise i just put the lid on the container and chuck them in the garbage bins, along with car batteries, once they are in the garbo truck good luck figuring out who put them there.

That earlier comment about the mechanic that did him over reminds me I've got around 5x5ltr old engine oil that needs to be poured on the front door step of this complete and utter ass hole that lived above me in a block of appts ........now Ive got something sinister to plot ;)

I normally take them to any servo and ask if they have a drum for old oil I dump it into? never not been able to dump old oil yet at a servo.
