Ive found pouring it into the areas of your yard where you dont want grass (or anything else for that matter) to grow, works a treat....no more mowing up the side of the house

Otherwise i just put the lid on the container and chuck them in the garbage bins, along with car batteries, once they are in the garbo truck good luck figuring out who put them there.
Why throw batteries in the bin or dump them? they are poisonus, and heavy metals, great just what we want in our drinking water or to end up in the rivers and oceans we eat food out of.
Same with the oil, its keep seeping down, doesnt just stay in the top 30cm to kill you lawn.
Ground water flows like a slow river so it spreads. and ends up in rivers and the ocean. Or peopl pump it out into their lawns, heavy metals and other crap is great for you health when it sprays over you house.

Alot car shops that sell batteries will take them off you hands, free! And scrap places even buy them off you in some cases. Supercheap ran a deal they'd give 10 buck off a new battery.
The lead and plastic is reusable and worth money. Plus throwing it in land fill it seping into the ground.
not great when our drinking water comews form there hey.

I know my car spews fumes into the air more than some slow shitbox, and ill never buy a hybrid im not some enviro activist, but a bit of common sense come int it hey.
Our counrty's awesome why fuck it? Plus its you health and you kids health.
I dont want to go on, im sure you a good bloke but some people dont realise the impact doing some of this stuff has.

Rant over......

adelaide water already tastes like shit
and victorians take all our water from the murray before it even gets to us..

Very responsible.

BTW... they CAN find out who's dumping shit in the garbage trucks.... there's cameras that show the drivers what each bin is dumping in the back. It'll only take one to see a battery or oil bottle dropping in from YOUR bin.

I'ved dropped off a car battery, a tyre, and 4 containers of used motor oil.
All free of charge.
