I need to track down some parts to finalise the UF Nimbus with RVR engine/auto gearbox conversion.

I need left and right driveshafts, exhaust pipe from the dump pipe to the cat, intercooling piping, gearbox bolts that go through to the chassis rail and a power steering pump.

Does anyone know anywhere that would likely have the parts? I'm having trouble tracking them down.

Cheers

Don't your old shafts fit? Or is the diff spline to big?
Mid pipe- make one as it will almost need to be custom anyways
Gearbox bolts- any mitsi, proton will have very similar bolts.
What is special about the steering pump, isn't it same as lancer? Magna, sonata, etc

Thanks, I'll check out trademe.com
The Nimbus didn't have any driveshafts in it when I got it, it was just a shell.
Will RVR shafts fit?

Got the car into Meek, the mechanic I was using botched the job and let my RVR go before he had everything he needed off it.
Total disaster really.

Meek reckon I will need a front cut or another RVR to get the parts they need to finish the job properly.
*sigh*

So I'll be placing a want ad shortly in the classifieds, if anyone knows of an RVR with a blown motor or something going cheap, let me know!

Oh man. Last thing I wanted to hear.
My RVR was perfect donor for your Nimbus if you only had Meek doing it from beginning.

Come on people, let's help this man finish his project.

A front cut just a for a few bits?? You're kidding right??

What exactly do you need again??

I know it sounds excessive, but once you add all the little bits up, it starts getting expensive real fast and a front cut doesn't seem so expensive.

Even just all the little parts like windscreen washer bottle and hoses, overflow bottle hoses and brackets, throttle body cable, auto ecu, gearbox brackets, etc etc. start to add up, especially if you have to get them shipped.

I'll have a full part list requirement from Meek next week.

Ahh man- I sold a complete RVR with all the things you need for just a couple of hundred bucks around 2 years ago.... surely you can find someone who will have a complete RVR they're wrecking??

I just scored the body kit, seats and a few other bits from an RVR wreck near Byron Bay. The guy's number is: 0421 999 062. Theres a whole bunch left apart from engine, body kit and front seats.

Thanks, that guy had already sold the bits I need. I really only need the suction pipe, airlfow meter and fan controller now, it is almost done and hopefully my missus and baby will be home from hospital soon, so I'm gonna need it :)

if you can't find hypergear airflow meter get sports gear one or evo one numbered 609 or 055 magna. Meek should be able to write a chip. If you get stucked let me know.

Cheers
