Which engine did i get ?

Hello guys,

I just bought a VR4 engine out of a 01 VR4, jap spec.

How do i know if its a 7bolt Evo0 engine or just a 6 bolt ?

(Engine still in the car, bought the whole car).

Im guessing its a 91 model ? Definitely not 01 model.

Yea, must be a typo. Op is selling a rolling 91 shell, so this is the engine.

6 bolt has a bump on the lip of the sump different to the 7bolt.
6bolt has cyclone on intake manifold.
6bolt has a lead on cas, 7bolt has a plug.
6bolt has idle switch on side of tb.

Have I got any of these right ^ :s

and inlet port size is much larger on 6 bolt than 7 bolt

You will find out when you remove the engine and gearbox so you can throw it in the GSR

That was my fault lol i was unsure if the VR4 EVO was a 6 or 7 bolt
