ok Guys, the VR4 head that came with cam tunnel damage which according to my local machine shop is "too hard" to fix.

so if this truely is the case ( i am getting another opinion) im up for ideas on where to look next.

currently the car ( j spec) is operational with a non turbo head used to get the car going so it could be sold, but with the dual runner cyclone manifold on it.
upgrades are kelford 272's, 6 boost manifold to suit my gt30/40, and Vipec ECU for it all.

whats the best way to go

find vr4 head
stick with the head i currently have (reco with bigger valves and possible port cleanup) .
other options ( what's this Hyundai talk i see sometimes?)

also what inlet manifold, obvoiusly i have the cyclone dual runner setup. or the NA manifold off a motor i got 10+ yrs ago that i never used that looks like this?

ideas on where i should head?

hey man, if you currently have a head with good valves... i have a spare head here with bent valves if you need one.
it seems to be in good nick (aside from the valves lol, come up for a look if you need.

I posted a few months ago about plenums. Whether to use cyclone, na, or Hyundai. Fair bit of info on the differences there :)

With the head...what do you mean by cam tunnel dammage

inlet cam has run dry on the front "bearing" so all burred and stuffed, same with exhaust cam but #4 bearing. so as a minimum needs to be cleaned, welded and then line bored. IF you can get a shop that has that capability.
