Just wondering what strokers people are using on there evo 3 4g63t. Which one should I get that's good for price

i had a 2.4 crank and it worked well for 1000kms then got crank walk (unlucky i think)

then now have an eagle crank and its been going strong since, though also modified my button clutch so there wasnt soo much pressure on the crank

Yeah it has to be forged and good quality, I'm running a nitto 2.3 stroker in my other car but didn't want to spend that much

Eagle is a good way to go. Mine has been going strong for years now with no problems
I was thinking of using the eagle crank and looking at your power it would be a good way to go. Anyone know the best place to buy the kit

There is nothing wrong with the nimbus or l300 crank if it's in good conditionAnd the bearing clearances are correct. One bonus of an aftermarket crank is that they are often lighter than the stock ones.Nitto stuff is good but heavy compared to some other brands. But great value for money.

K1crank http://www.k1technologies.com/Portals/0/Documents/Sport_Compact_Cranks.pdf

CP pistons and manley rods

tough enough for most things.

I have had some good eagle cranks .........but the last was crap. big ends were different sizes!!......plugs were only in one turn of thread

never would buy another when there is better at the same price.....now that the dollar is so healthy

A lot of folks in the UK won't touch Eagle cranks, as a lot of them have made banana's look straight.

Eagle rods still have a good rep, just not the cranks.

Also, most folks here just use OEM 4g64 cranks for strokers. As capable of as much silly power as an OEM 4g63 crank apparently.

K1 have a good rep as well. Twice the price of an OEM 4g64 crank over here though.

a 4g64 crank , can it be used in a 4g63 6bolt 1gdsm? im buying a 6 bolt and looking at prices to rebuilt with new internals and to stroke it

question about stroking , got a 4g64 6bolt crank on its way and looking at rods and pistons. www.spoolimports.com have a spool rod and sp pistons etc but i question this, do most strokers for 4g's have shorter rods or high pin placement on the pistons ?

Theres manley cranks also. About the same price as Eagle (wish they made 6 bolt cranks!). Another option as the eagle cranks seem to lack the quality. Everyone still swears by the rods though.
And less than half the price of K1 and nitto.

Either Eagle or manley cranks with whatever rods and pistons you want will hold more power than 90% of people with a built motor will make.

These piston/rod combos will be under 1K delivered from the US and what I'd be considering; Manley or Eagle H beam rods.
Paired with the following pistons; JE FSR (new design), Wiseco 1400HD (can run them tighter than other like the old style JE's not sure about the new range), Ross (tough reputation, run them looser like the old style JE's). Are what the yanks commonly use with results.

higher pin in the piston with stock 150mm rod.

I would not touch an eagle crank these days, it will cost you more than a k1 etc in the long run.

I have one of these, I tried everything possible to fault it and couldnt in any way
