Was thinking about this recently, there aren't many performance cars I have driven/sat in which I think the seats were this bad.

I previously owned a few ET turbos and the seats in those were very supportive, actually very good, considering those cars were another 9 years older! Heck, my POS N13 87 Pulsar has far better seats. That's pretty sad.

I've been in a few GSRs and they were all the same, seats are dead flat hard, have no lower lumber cushioning, no side support ... quite uncomfortable.

There's no way they are up to going around any corner semi-quick.

end rant lol

because its the bottom of the range vehicle it's a 4wd lancer with a turbothats it pretty much.....jspec gsr seats are all good think they are recaros

I dont think they are that bad actually and I dont mind them (have a set in the Mrs car). I've sat in heaps less comfier including new model cars thats for sure.

I dont mind them either!! Although, CB GSR seats rock IMO ... so comfy, same goes for the stock VR4 seats

they're allright!!
once you get em molded to your ass they rock
evo seats start getting uncomfy after a while because they're too stiff..
btw - gsr's have recaro's too... :)

yeah my jspec gsr's have recaros..

look the same at the proton gti ones..

nothing special.. no seats hold me in. lol

before the brides, i had JSPEC recaros in my GSR and they were the shiz

PEASOUP - gets some jspecs u wont regret it

i use my gsr as a daily and have evo 3 recaros and they bug me sometimes

they are a bit of a hassle to get in and out of and am noticing wear on the side bolsters

though admittedly the standard gsr seats slide you around sometimes

I dont drive my car much, just on weekends, so every time I get in I just think fark these are crap lol

I'd prefer EVO3 or maybe even EVO4, I like the more modern looking shape. I think they feel the same? unlike the later model ones. The red pattern would'nt look too bad in a red car either.

i have to use my left foot against the firewall to support myself when i'm taking corners quick or going through the twisties.. i think i just have a big ass..

cant beat the old 84 daihatsu charade for the softest, throw-you-around seats on the market! haha i had to hold on to the steering wheel for dear life going semi-quick corners. try swapping the ua/ub/uc mitsu nimbus seats in the lancer... they are more supportive (in every way) than my vr4 ones... :S

just finished putting my EIII Recaros in the front.

Are the rear compatible because mine ar 60/40 where as the EIII are two piece top + bottom

How much did you pay for the front recaros?

i love my E3 Recaros...but i gotta problem, i got a mate thats lost his licence, and i been helping him out alot getting him around...problem is he is quite...large! and i can see his ass taking its toll on my passenger seat! u think he would be offended if i got a spare stock passenger seat, left it at his house and swapped it out everytime he wanted a ride?!
