Wierd stuff goin on here.

Well guys i was out driving around lastnight and started to smell a bit of burning oil, so i pulled over and to check what was going on, i found that oil had been leaking out the oil cap and down the side of the head onto the manifold, and also looked like it was leaking out of the side of the rocker cover, near the oil pressure switch.

and when you open the oil cap a little bit of smoke came out, but nothing more than it has done previously, The oil level had droped a bit so i just topped it up.

the other strange thing is its blowing a fair wack of oil out of the BOV, there was normally a little bit of oil spray from it, but this was like a big oily mark.

Just wondering what could be causing this, someone suggested PCV, but i wouldnt have a clue. any help would be great.

Sounds like a case of excess crankcase pressure. How many kms does the engine have on it?

A catch can (with breather) will fix the symptoms, but wont solve the problem - engine could do with a re-con (Rings)

what he said also check compression will tell you instantly.

engines done around 120,000ks, I may have to look at getting a catch can for the time being and ill see if i can get a hold of a comp tester
