will 17" rims work with stock suspension?

hey guy, i may be making a trade with another member who live up here in Canada. He's getting his evo this week, and believes it still has stock suspension. As you know i have Cusco Comp-Z coilovers, in which i was asking if i could change the spring rate. So the question is, will my 17" rims (i believe it has a 38 offset with a rim spacer to clear the brembo's or coilovers) and it has a 1 inch gap between the tire and the coilover springs, the springs are about 3-3/4" diameter, will a stock suspension work on my setup? i read the evo and colt manuals and i got between 4.7" to 5.2" (i think) in spring diameter. has anyone tried this?

yes they'll fit, on stock suspension the spring seat is above the wheel.

most aftermarket 17's in 4 stud are +38 or +40 offset.

are the Avanti distributors in Australia they don't list them but can and will order them in for you through.
