as stated above...anyone done or did this before, im lookin at gettin evo seats but if i cant ill buy RECARO'S
will proton rails fit cc lancer

yeah i know but ill buy new ones, which i think dont come with rails
Only the Proton Satria GTi and M21 Coupe both come out with Recaros as standard fitment in the Protons. My Mrs car is an M21 so I can tell you 100% that the rails are identical to EVO 1,2,3 as I have EVO rails in my car. These Protons are Mitsubishi chassis anyway so yes, they fit but the seat belts are different. Use your existing seat belt locking mechanisms which easily bolt onto the Proton GTi/M21 seat rails :wink:
If anyone wants to put aftermarket 'flat bottomed' seats like Recaros, Sparcos etc in their Lancer (normal Lancers have a stepped bottom), you need to have either EVO 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and I think even 8 & 9 front seat rails or Proton Satria GTi and M21 seat rails to do it. If not you will probably need to buy some from the seat manufacturer or make your own set. For my Cobra seats I got a set of EVO seat rails and just had to drill an extra hole in a bracket to bolt them to the seats - piss easy and used hi-tensile bolts :wink:
