hey guys i'm after the long strip that goes on a evo 2... its attached to the roof, front and rear windows... if u dont know what i mean i can take a picture... thanks

gutter moulds mate,

do you want ones with all the black still on them? or flakey black with crappy chrome showing through?

they are all the same on normal lancers and evos too

weather strips like these?

if so, ring proton spares as Wira ones fit directly on, they come with clips, AND they are BLACK in colour, and they only cost $172 for a pair compared to mitsubishi spares $406 a pair they quoted me.

for $172 (already incl. GST) a pair i went new instead of buying second hand ones for a little bit cheaper when they will end up stuffing up/flaking soon enough anyway

Part numbers for when you ring up proton:

left strip: PW534221
right strip: PW534222

You are a legend!! We spent over $120 easy just on new clips alone from Mitsubishi!! (they wanted about $10 each from memory). So are you 100% certain that the clips and moulds from the WIRA fit directly onto the GSR/EVO?

yeap im sure

1) before i put on my strips, i compared the clips between GSR strip and wira ones i bought.

the clips look identical shape when put next to each other (they are the same clips). The only difference I noticed, was that at the front end of each of the new wira strips, the GSR ones came with three clips, and the wira came with 4 - this was fine, because i just took out one of the clips from the wira strip, repositioned the remaining three as they can slide up and down the strip

and

2) after i worked out how the clips work and clip onto the rest of the car (i didnt take notice of how it was one before i ripped of my GSR strips), i clipped my new strips right onto my GSR! and it clipped on the same as my previous ones did - the only reason i changed my strips was because my old ones flaked apart.

best part is that they are black and not grey like most interior bits would be

look man up to you

i bought the strips with clips, and they went straight on

unless something in the design changes when you buy them

wow guys thanks so much for your help... yeah well i got quoted $460 EACH! from mitsubishi...

thanks again

i got a quote nearly as ridiculous as that as well ....

mitsubishi in melbourne are even bigger sharks than syd

i got quoted $203+GST a side ($406 a pair)

proton wanted $86 a side give or take a dollar or two (already GST inclusive)

these prices are based on Proton Spares in Campbelltown NSW

Thanks for this info, I have had all sorts of issues with mine since getting the windscreen replaced. Its now going back, 2nd time under warranty...

Just checking that this is the long strip that runs the full length? Is it one piece? How do the clips stick to the body?

1) yes it runs from the front windscreen, over the rood and to the rear window

2) it is one piece, and when i bought my replacements from proton, they came with all brand new clips

3) how do they stick to the body.. ok kind of hard to explain.. see the middle of the strip is easy, the clips just clip onto these metal nipples which will already be on your car... as for the clipping in the front and rear, you need to pretty much push/clip them under the glass kind of.. actually cant really explain it.. if you have old ones still on there , see how they unclip i guess?
