WTB: Evo 1-3 strut bracing

This is what I'm thinking Shayne. Although with that said I don't know if there is much benefit of going out of my way just for what is essentially 3mm thk plate? Can probably cut some out and weld it on...

If you were going to go to that effort, just weld a tube from the strut tower to the firewall, like what they do for rollcage setups except you won't be going through the firewall. Cut and bend a plate to the profile of the strut tower and then weld it on, then weld a tube from that to the firewall.

Glad to see that cos those factory braces still arent adding much ridgity IMO, i still see evos with the firewall flex/ split, as mentioned, tower to tower, tower to firewall and fender braces too, id think would stiffen it up way more

where do they crack? I know about the clutch. And is it big hp cars that crack them or is it rally cars that do big jumps?

Well mines neither a big hp car or rally but mines got it on the drivers side of the fire wall in line with the outside of the strut tower, ill throw a pic up when I get home from work

Apparently lowering the car accelerates the problem too.

Yeah I had some good firewall crack photos but don't have enough time this morning to search for them. Here's some other pics in meantime.
Last pic of the fender bracing you obviously need to install 2 bolts into the shell as well. I put a plate and nyloc nuts inside the shell where you can see the hole next to the bolts.
