I know its a long shot but I'm looking for set of 4 x Evo 8 / 9 MR BBS wheels.

Condition: no cracks, buckles etc.

^ Yep - was just going to suggest that. From memory there's a set for sale on there, but I think you're looking at around $1400 for them.

Yes...they still sell for decent coin...but are a very nice factory wheel.

There were some evo x bbs's on eBay in Adelaide for 750 iirc,

Can someone enlighten me on why people pay so much for used wheels? I must be missing something??

Bbs are worth every cent..they are a quality lightweight wheel which look awesome.
Demand dictates the price as with anything good.

Yea I agree there nice but since I got the rvr I've started looking at wheels again and I've seen a lot of really nice sets of various rays for not much more
Fair enough though, as ya said demand dictates price
