i took it to the recycling centre, i was thinking while i was binning a whole lot of my junk... "i probably will want that someday" it was just taking up too much space in its cardboard box
could you live with a GSR/VR4 W5M33 intermediate, i *maybe* able to get another one.
The Evo RS intermediate is different to the standard VR4 W5M33... thanks anyway. Any chance the recycling centre still has it ??? ( Asking for a big favour !!!)
all W5M33's run the same primary reduction ratio, so will work with each other quite happily, unless you need the machining for the extra syncro's which is all i can think of.
No probs.... Anyway the Evo RS ( and Evo 1 on) intermediate shaft has a larger diameter shaft for a larger diameter needle rollers for 1st/2nd gear. Therefore I cant interchange 1st/2nd gears with a standard VR4's gears ( and vice versa for intermediate shafts). The Evo 1 and VR4 Evo RS share the same gearing, but the Evo 1 4th gear ( on the input shaft) has a larger synchro. Evo 1 2nd gear has a double synchro. The intermediate shaft is however , common in dimensions between the two.
