Hey guys,

Does anyone know where i can get a DIN 3 guage holder? Or i think EVos came with 3 mitsu guages if so anyone got one for sale?

If not what guages are best to go with a boost guage?

Does it matter what brand other then looks?

Is ebay the place to buy?

Cheers
Cade

Boost, oil pressure, one other (A/F usually).

That'll do it for gauges. anything else is rice :D

Are you sure lorrie?

A water temp gauge is also a good one to have, also if your running a fpr, a fuel press gauge comes in handy too. Especially when tuning.

Forget about an A/f if its not wideband.

Your dash does water temp just fine. You dont' need to know how hot your car is TO THE DEGREE. A reasonable range is just fine :p

Fuel press gauge should be ON your FPR IN your engine bay. There's no reason at all for this to be in the car, not to mention unless it's electronic it's illegal inside the cabin anyway.

Most of the gauges are only useful for tuning. Most of your tuning will be done on a dyno unless you're crazy good with a laptop and have a mate to drive.

How often do you look at your stock (in accurate) water temp gauge? I bet its not as often as what it would if you had an accurate gauge on the case. Gauges arent always for rice, they can save you ALOT of money if something went undetected (bennygee)

Back on topic, how about a set of these?

Ive got those rare factory evo gauages :) they arent too bad..

anyways i have a 3 gauge din holder from my VR4.. ive taken 2 of the gauges out of it and it only has the VDO water temp gauge left.. its one din size so will easily slot in... also it suits 52mm gauges

make an offer?

OR

I have a 3 Din gauge holder which i bought for my evo.. never used.. new.. the gauges are spaced so that they face the towards the driver.. no gauges.. suits 52mm aswell

after $30 for this.

gauges are only rice when they dont have a purpose

i've currently got

--boost - obviously for boost

--oil pressure - make sure i have oil

--oil temp - make sure temp is up before i fang it.. and also make sure i dont get it cooking

--exhaust gas temp - i've got bungs in each exhaust runner... so i can adjust the trims of each injector if a particular cylinder is running rich / lean..

--fuel pressure - good to know my fuel pump is working and pressure increasing when boost increases

on the wolf there voltage / water temp / air temp / blah blah..

honestly, the most important are:
oil pressure / boost / water temp / voltage

the rest are just good to have just in case..

so far the fuel pressure gauge has allowed me to figure out a fueling problem, the water temp (stock and wolf) has saved me from 2 dying davies craig pumps, the oil pressure helped me diagnose a filter problem and lastly the voltage helped me with a shot alternator...

all these problems arose from a fresh rebuild and new loom.. without the gauges, i would have been stuffed

Thats exactly what i want :'(

I take it rare as buggery in a womans prison??

Anyone know where i can get my hands on one?

Otherwise $175 for a/f, oil pressure, and boost with 3 gauge din from just jap.

lol defi, why are they so bloody expensive? for that kinda price i would expect a little lady to come with them.

They're worth every penny. Instead of always having to monitor your gauges, you can set up different levels of warning indication, so if something is not right it'll let you know instantly with a flashing red light and beeping noise.

Playback feature is awesome too.

if i get the pocket at meek.. would my cup holders still work..?

even tho it would be pointless to have it cups where there.. but i just want to know
