i got a vr4 cooler, same size as an evo 0 one but just smalled inlets/outlets,

Hey andy u know that the intercooler that is on the car is an VR4 cooler, evo one is exact same. Like MATTRAT said!

If u wanna upgrade the next step is aftermarket, go for a PWR, Trust me!

PWR coolers are the bomb!

i thought VR4 and EVO were different sizes.. and the EVO 0 VR4 cooler was the same as an evo cooler? i am fairly sure the VR4 cooler was smaller than an evo. But, if someone wants to correct me.. please do :)
 
ok theres aus spec, which are oil cooler size.
then theirs jspec which are about 30mm smaller in diameter then evo 0
then theirs the RS EVO 0 which is the biggest stock vr4 cooler which is like this.

the cooler i have spare which is a stock vr4 jspec is like this with 2" inlet, outlet.

Aus Spec = Small, no point unless upgrading FROM this.
JDM = good size, but smaller than EVO and EVO 0 VR4
EVO/EVO 0 = Largest factory

So really. if your going from the stock CC GSR cooler, then JDM Vr4 or EVO coolers are the go for near bolt on.

If you have a vr4 cooler, then evo / evo 0 is the next step. or complete aftermarket.
 
yer nice illuzin..
if you want performance which you wont have to upgrade then go a 600x300...
but if your not made of money like most of us just go a vr4/evo 0 cooler which is good up too 400hp ive heard...
 
wateva cooler u get, ur gonna have to change ur piping n stuff,
just save a bit extra, get something u like, do it once do it properly.
cant beat custom tho.
 
Yeah the one that u got now on my old car is the JDM VR4.
It made a bit of a difference when i swaped it over, not heaps just a little bit more pic up.

Id seriously go see Simon dude.
He does the whole custom piping and sylicone hoses him self.

Big PWR coolder on the front to fill out the Evo 3 front bar!

I think he does it all for 1500 drive in drive out.
Its a bit pricy but u know u have the best cooler and the best work done!

He was saying to me that when he changed the one on Brett Lodges lancer, it made a HUUUUUUUGE difference, started running 9s straight away!
His had some cheapy on there and swapped to PWR cause he ran that on his 10second lancer and made a HUUUUG difference!

He is the Gold dealer for PWR down there, tell him his brother in law sent u there!
