Where could I ge a good, metal fire extinguisher bracket? The crappy plastic one that came with the extinguisher is no good.

That's easy-peesy then - Bursons and Supercheap and $20 are all good! I was worried it was going to be something like Revolution Race-gear sort of stuff (ie big $$$).

I'm just getting flashes on Shaun's engine bay fire in my mind and keep thinking how much worse it could have been if he didn't have that extinguisher in his car! :?

What type of extinguisher do I want? Given that most fires will probably be caused by oil squirting on something hot in the engine bay - do I want water or foam or CO2?

I got mine from Bunnings, it had a metal bracket. It is a dry powder one, I think that is the only type you can get in a small (1kg) size.
I kno of a guy that had to use one on his interior in a RX7 it put out the fire and saved the car but the powder is corrosive and now his car is rusting to shit, so if you have to use one best you clean it up real good after it is all over.
