Kano - I live in prospect at the moment, but I have to move soon... the house I looked at about 10 minutes ago has a nice 2 car garage hehe...
The VIN business is to minimise re-birthing and theft, basically they just look at the VIN and engine number of your car, make sure it matches the rego papers, and then they run a check to make sure it isn't stolen etc. If it is, they confiscate it right then. If it's still under finance and the bank wants to repossess it, they confiscate it. But I doubt you'd have issues with that on a VR4 forum... Technically the VIN check isn't a roadworthy, but if you had 19 inch rims or black tinted glass, they can defect you. I probably would have passed that day if there weren't so many cops hanging out there.. seriously I nearly took the car home when I saw how many there were but they called me in... plus reggie wanted his plates back.
Regency dudes generally pick on skylines and 180's etc, VR4's aren't something they are aware is heavily modified a lot of the time... although I have talked to skyline people who have gone through with big high mount trust turbos, pods, etc..
