Hi guys,

I've decided to bite the bullet and get a quality radiator, since the stock copper one now is starting to leak around the plastic capping. Was looking at the 53mm dual core all metal one. Are there any fitment issues, will i need a slim fan (SPALL 13")? What would you recommend push or pull setup for the fan.

Cheers

Stan

The fan should be setup the same as it was originally.
As for fitment you will have to check that once the radiator arrives.

A radiator shop can redo the seal at the crimping. As long as the sides arent bulging. They can rod out all the cores too, good as new.

Ive got one of those ebay twin core aluminium ones in my GSR. Factory drivers side fan, you will need to grind a tiny part of the shroud to clear the engine mount (on a 1.8 at least).

Hey guys,

Finished installing the huge Koyo Alloy rad, bit of a squeeze, some filing here and there to clear the fan and battery tray. Thinking all will be well, the stock rad cap doesnt fit. One its to shallow, the Koyo has a deeper neck, and two its 43mm in diameter the head, stock is 42mm.

Soo any suggestions on what cap to get or just go with the extra expensive $50 Koyo 1.3 Bar cap

Cheers

Stan

Just get the Koyo cap. At least you know it will fit and work properly.
