ahhh i was gonna say tap a wire from the starter motor but you have said that . my mum car had the same prob !! turns out it was the immobiliser (spelling) so yeah didnt crank over had to remove the unit and was all good. sorry if that wasnt much help cheers Joe-ness

i went to bunnings and got 5mil clear hoses ! they do the job perfect !!! and is only about 45cents per metre .
