word of advice? don't do it. just go forged 93. mine ended up costing 10k, including a half cut, retune, rewiring of aftermarket ecu, new clutch, new everything basically. I just blew my head gasket after 8000k's as well. :\ if i put 10k into a rebuild i'd have a monster. wait, add another 2.5k...

ok head is fine, its just my head gasket. Getting fixed as we speak. Won't burn a hole in my pocket, i had to sell my pants to fix the car :P

I have an evo 1 4g63 and my piping kit takes the over the manifold route. its a meek kit.

UPDATE!!!! It finally turned over, warmed up, and i found out the radiator fluid has a white murkey substance. Not much, but a little bit. I think I have a cracked head :( anyone got a 4g63 head? :S

I'm starting to think its something other than the engine itself, like an electrical problem or ignition simply because of how it's behaving. its either that, a head gasket or one Uber effed engine.

nope, no steam out the back, no murkey radiator fluid...YET. There's a few signs to point another direction away from the blown head gasket, but if it is that, it wont be a bad case. Mightn't even need to shave the head. BUT, I'll take it to a mechanic tomorrow and we'll see how we go. any...
