Theres basicly a sleve glued into the top plate and the bearing sits in that held by a circlip. was done like this to absorb some shock Have found some info that says people have welded them when the same thing happend but nothing if there was issues down the track

Hey, Has anyone had or know anyone thats had the rubber/ureathane in there noltec street strut tops perish? Did you/they just weld them back up? i know theres solid ones like tein etc and there fine just want to know if there was any issues down the track with these being welded Cheers

Ive got a spare rack in my jspec chassis with the lines capped from when i removed the 4ws from it but i dont have time to pull two racks out and put one back in

Friday arvo in peak hour traffic on the bruce hwy this happened. and in the resulting carnange both the steel lines coming out of the front rack to the rear got rarther fkd up. I dont have the time to pull the front rack out and i cant seem to crimp the bastards properly to stop them...

still need springs or just a rear set

That was a E6 one i beleive and required slight mods to the coloum surround and the horn contact post thing needed to be made a little longer. He did tell me exactly what was done but i cant quite rember. I looked into this when i got a spare wheel for my IX and i was going to put the old one...

Well thats good, would be arount 4years since i done mine and i think it was your info i used. I do rember though tht modding the bush was a total PITA and i think i had to reduce the diameter as well as length and stuffed it up a little, If i ever use them again its good to know i can just but...

Did you have to buy two of the rear one and mod one to fit the front Tim? When i got mine thats what i had to do.
