Tuning Closed loop map to get better fuel

Must be something terribly wrong for you to be getting 300km out of a tank while it's still so stock.... not sure how much difference it makes but maybe the 2.4 is keeping the 14b spooled up or bringing it on much faster/more than normal? ... but even then that's shocking economy. you are...

    Spooling Problem

shouldn't need to still use that with the e316g as the mouth is larger than the old 14b.

E39A - nearly done, few annoyances

Depends what injectors you're running. Base on the VR4 450's is ~38, evo 560's is ~43.

    4G92 Timing Belt

Howdy chaps. I have a 4g92 in my CC wagon and the head gaskett is leaking in one corner, so plan is to change it. I just nabbed the workshp manual but, as usual, it's rather cryptic and not that specific. Basically just looking for a checklist for what I should be looking for and/or replacing...

    engine hesitation problems..

The A-Spec's run extremely rich stock FYI. Stock computer's tuned to 6-10 PSI (argueable) with a low compression engine. Easy to go over that with your high comp. You should be able to tune yourself to what you have with an ECMlink. First thing you'll need to change is the AFM. Some are using...

    engine hesitation problems..

Do the intake leak test as per VFAQ. Almost guarantee the TB will be pissing out air. The N/A tb seals are the wrong way around and only made to deal with vacuum and not internal pressure (boost). You'll either have to swap the seals and/or the TB. I'll try and draw a pretty picture in paint re...

    engine hesitation problems..

oh, just another quick one... what throttle body are you using?

    engine hesitation problems..

Just a quick one as I'm just about to head out, but fuel pressure should be approx 38-39 psi with the vac line off (from memory) at idle. May be more if you have an after market pump... actually that's a point.. what fuel pump are you running? Also, don't need to aftermarket, ecmlink will sort...

    engine hesitation problems..

What VR4 ECU are you using? Are the pins correct? (there's some pin swapping business that usually goes on between the AU and JAP models, may apply to you ?) Do you have any datalogs that you can send/convert etc? Doing a log at WOT would be helpful at indicating what could be causing the lack...

    Dis-hearted Perth Street Car Culture

Also keen on a 4g night. 14b powah =D Russ (fulltilt on gvr4.org) used to try and get one happening every year. Community's had a few fallouts and move-on's since then. Lets do it! Have yet to put my old girl down the strip =P

    VR4 abs

Bleeding the abs unit is detailed in the workshop manual. I've done it each time I've bled the brakes. There are two bleed nipples on the ABS unit, one is harder to see as it's sort of under the guard. From memory I just moved that little bank of relays off the guard and out of the way a little...

    FOUND: Stock VR4 Struts

As above. Prefer WA but will take what I can get! Just need the struts, even if they are dead suspension wise, as long as they are still straight and structurally sound!

    Anyone Changed to HIDs?

IMO 6000k and below is acceptable. After seeing and installing a shitload of HID kits, I'd personally go with ~4500k. They are visibly more "blue/white" than most halogens but are just stronger. Hardly noticeable to the average punter that they'd be HID's but makes a big difference on the road...
