hi just want a few questions answered and any help would be awesome!!

ok its a newer 1993 MITSUBISHI GALANT hatchback any good or poo?? its the standard type not the 110kw V6 version..
also what stud pattern are these? or what wheels off what cars will fit? also any1 know any problems these cars can have faults with??
The mrs likes it and wants one as the family car.. seem pretty roomy inside and have all the added extras - P/S, A/C, Cruise, power everything.. also has done pretty low Kms 160,000..

cheers guys any info would be awesome!

that version galant arnt a bad car, the V6 is a good power plant, and if you really want you can shove the DOHC n/a or DOHC TT version straight into it. the 93 model came out with 4X114 but later models came out 5X114 stud pattern

the US market make heaps of upgrades and bolt on's, as well as various body kits and interior parts....

the car wanst a big hit in aus, as it came out at the same time as the 93 Mazda 626/Ford Telstar and offered more things when new.

i dun remember many faults with the car, just the typical Mits oil leaks and usuall tune ups

hope this helps

thanks mate, it wont be used for power or anything like that just to cart the kids around and take on long trips with the family.. haha corny i know! lol
but yeah so the 2litre 4cyl is not a bad motor then?? any other help would be great! it has 160,000kms on the clock so im guessing it has a fair bit of life left.. also was owned by an elderly couple since new..

any other comments would be awesome!

sohc..... yer i really wouldnt with the 4cyl..... car is a size of a commonwhore, 2lt would be a lil small for the size ......

if its a sohc 4g63, itd be fine(slowish) but fine if it was just the missus, but with ids + luggage(school bags etc) the car would be fair sluggish...

sluggish dont bother me or her at all as it is a family car..
just really dont want a slapped out commodore for a family car..
plus want something pretty good on petrol with room in it also so this kinda fitted all requirements.. just wondering really if there are major faults with this model or anything

the slower the better as far as im conserned when my mrs is driving! haha

my brother has the V6 model.

It has been pretty reliable, with no known faults. If the price is right, go for it. Being just a 2LT sohc, I probably wouldnt bother if its auto, it would really be gutless - even for the mrs. A 5 speed would probably go ok though.

just looked it up on carsguide, the sohc 4cyl should have plenty of power for what you guys need :)
