F-All difference between the 14B and 16G lag wise they have the same TD05H turbine wheel - just in slightly smaller housing for the 14B. The compressor wheel make very little difference here. Personally I'm not a fan of the 14B compressor wheel, old tech and too small even for a 1.8 - but with the Auto I'd stick with the TD04 as mentioned above, there are some options when it comes to hybridising the TD04 for a bit more poke if the rest of the mods I list below don't do it for ya.
2.5" exhaust (No bigger on the TD04!)
Front mount i/c, nothing too big. Good old VR-4 items work a treat with the inlet/outlets enlarged to 2.5"
Boost up to 14psi
Transmission oil cooler upgrade if funds permit.
Evo 1-3 rear swaybar upgrade.
of course, shocks/springs/wheels/tyres
Don't waste time with an Evo fuel pump unless it's from something reasonably newish. The rest are likely to have done a million kms and will probably be pretty tired. Walbros can be had fairly cheap these days, and there are a lot more choices out there too.
