So I had a bit of time on my hands and dropped on through the local Mitsubishi dealership here in Townsville to check out the EVO X in the showroom and I'm quickly approached by the salesman "need a hand mate?" . me- "no thanks Im just checking out your evo thanks" .. sales- "yeah this ones the special one", me-"yeah the 247kw... whats the price on this one 70grand?" sales-- "nah ( looks at me like a chump) .. its 90grand" .. me- "your fukn dreamn champ" ..

well it went on for a bit longer tried to tell me about all the "special" bits.. sat nav, different seats etc etc ..

Morale of the story - there is none. but way to price a car out of range of who would buy it...carsales for 70grand new drive away no more to pay delivered from intersate is a better option.

Since when can u rego TMR edition EVOX?? from memory they all came with full roll cage and not complied to aus standards

You CAN get a TMR Bathurst Edition Evo X. I worked on the flyer for these for Mitsubishi Australia.

And it DID have 247kw & 436nm of torque, mostly due to ecu upgrade and exhaust.

Upgrades were:
TMR Exhaust
TMR Progressive rate spring package
Powder coated (black) wheels
TMR Bathurst edition badging
Limited build number badge
Certificate of authenticity

Basically it was a case of ordering a normal Evo X and then getting the TMR Bathurst upgrade pack where they would fit everything to the vehicle. So they could be bought, and can be complied. No roll cage though...

But you're right, 90k is waaaay to steep, especially given they were released about 4-5 years ago and sales have always struggled with the Evo X anyway.

Roll cage would not have been supplied through a Mitsubishi dealer. TMR may have supplied this on the side, but this was never listed as an option.
