Help Support 4GTuner:

As if you do Rob! haha
Nah I don't mean it's happened to you, but I remember you offering this advice to someone somewhere along the line.

Oh I was talking to Mattrat same time I was talking to you Craig. He just made me realise what I was saying about the broken rear shaft causing no drive wouldn't happen due to the viscous coupling.
But like you said earlier, if the viscous or the centre diff have shat themselves, then it could be true, but highly unlikely that the diff and shaft would break at the same time.

EDIT: Sorry Dave I'm muttering to myself here, I'd either take your gearbox apart and see what's going on inside, or if you don't feel confident / lack tools or whatever, take it to Dave :)p) at the Gearbox Shop in Slacks Ck and say that Mahommad sent you.

Yeah, just be careful pulling it apart too hey, some little bits and pieces in there like to roll out and hide away never to be found again.

Was it a selectable FWD/ AWD gearbox?
Did it rattle when you pulled it out (a sure sign of broken teeth moving around inside)?
If the VCU is shagged, and the right angle drive or rear drive shaft sheared, then you would go nowhere.

And for all those little bits that roll away when you pull it, I'm sure between Mo and I, we have enough busted boxes to rape for parts.

well its not my g/box my drivers side rear driveshaft was the problem all along. All that trouble pulling the gbox out for nothing

Pressure plate is alright, but I'd put a new clutch disc in if I were you Dave. Might be able to come round Friday arvo Craig. Let us know if that suits you.

It's got a bit. Remember, he's sticking a T4 onto it as well though. OEM Evo3 clutch discs are good, but I dunno if they're capable of holding that much poke?

nah, he wants to go b16g

Considering a standard evo 3 came with around 200kw and a b16g, why wouldn't a standard evo 3 clutch be up for it?

my clutch should be still alrite you reckon?

Grab the friction plate and give it a shake, if the springs rattle at all, replace it, especially if planning on doing more 7g launches.
